Sunday Slump

The competition both within the Free TV arena and against Pay TV is hotting up. Changes are constantly being made to prime time line ups and broadcast rights to get the edge over competitors. This week has seen Channel Ten question its own model and make changes to match the new broadcast environment, but many questions over the future of TV in Australia remain.

Last Week’s Results:

Do you know any of the new Legislative Council members?

One or two: 42.31%
Some of them: 26.92%
None of them: 26.92%
All of them: 3.85%

Do quotas for the Legislative Council deliver true representation of votes?

No: 69.57%
Yes: 30.43%

Are the Greens extremists?

Yes: 51.52%
No: 48.48%

  1. The sport question is an interesting one thanks to the advent of social media.

    Broadcasters need to get it into their heads that delayed, edited coverage of sports events is basically not good enough anymore.

    People want live. Television, if they want to maintain (forget about grow) an audience need to show sport live. If they delay it, people will generally go find “other means” of watching the event in full of their own accord.
